Welcome to the Iron Butt Association – Australia

The Iron Butt Association is dedicated to safe, long-distance motorcycle riding. Although based in the United States, we have over 60,000 members world-wide. One of our more popular slogans is ‘The World Is Our Playground’.

The Iron Butt Association (IBA) does not have membership in the traditional sense. We do not have yearly dues, formal meetings or a monthly newsletter. The IBA is a loose knit organization compared to most motorcycle clubs. There are no membership fees. There is only one way to become a member – you must successfully complete, and have certified, an IBA Certificate ride.

The IBA has been supporting  Australian Long Distance Riders since 1999, IBA Australia continues to serve the Australian LDRiding community. We are a non-partisan open community for all Australian LD Riders with access for Members to read about and share information regarding IBA rides. As a local entity, IBA Australia will facilitate events and rides suited to Australian conditions addressing the needs of local riders and visiting overseas members.
